Fiction

Yellow light stains
and patterns the instant.

Sun falls, a pear

falls too, is gone, and nothing
stands in its place.

There’s no anniversary
for the event –

the ray emerging
into simple writtenness.

A pear’s pleasure arises
when the fruit descends.
