I sleep alone.
—Sappho
When she turns the lights out at night
and curls in a fetal position
the warmth of lover mother father
reaches her from a metal bed-heater
filled with hot water.

Io dormo sola.
—Saffo

e si racchiude nella posizione fetale
il tepore materno paterno coniugale
le viene da uno scaldaletto metallico
contenente acqua calda.
