Christina Pugh
Christina Pugh’s fourth book of poems, Perception (Four Way Books, 2017), is a finalist for the Chicago Review of Books Poetry Award. Her other titles include Grains of the Voice (Northwestern University Press, 2013) and Restoration (Northwestern University Press, 2008). Her poems have appeared in The Atlantic, Poetry, Ploughshares, The Kenyon Review, and other periodicals, and in anthologies such as Poetry 180 (2003). She was the recipient of a 2015-1016 Guggenheim fellowship in poetry, as well as fellowships and awards from the Poetry Society of America, the Illinois Arts Council, and the Bogliasco Foundation, among others. Her essays on poetry and poetics have appeared in Poetry, The Emily Dickinson Journal, The Cambridge Companion to Poetry Since 1945, and other periodicals and anthologies. She is a professor in the Program for Writers at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Consulting Editor for Poetry magazine.
