Jacques DarrasJacques Darras, born 1939 in Ponthieu, France, has since 1988 been engaged in the composition of a long poem in 8 cantos about a short river in Northern France, La Maye. This, in addition to his French translations of Walt Whitman, Samuel Coleridge, William Blake, Basil Bunting, Malcolm Lowry etc. He was awarded the Prix Apollinaire and Grand Prix de Poésie by the French Academy in 2006.
