Joan Romano Shifflett
Joan Romano Shifflett is a writing specialist and English instructor for the United States Naval Academy. She earned her Ph.D. in English with distinction from Catholic University in 2013 and has published articles on Robert Penn Warren and Robert Lowell. Her current book project explores the professional and personal connections among three writers who helped to change American poetry: Warren, Lowell, and Randall Jarrell.
