M.I. DevineM.I. Devine’s debut, Warhol’s Mother’s Pantry (The Ohio State Press/Mad Creek Books), a poetry-prose mashup, was awarded the Gournay Prize. Cofounder of the pop music collective Famous Letter Writer, he has won support from the National Endowment for the Humanities for his criticism, and, most recently, the New York State Council on the Arts for DADAMAMA, a song and film cycle. Reviews of his work, interviews, lyrics, essays, and songs have appeared in a variety of places, including Commonweal, Los Angeles Review of Books, Measure, Talkhouse, American Literature, American Songwriter, and through NPR Music.
