Robert Schechter
Robert Schechter is a past winner of the Willis Barnstone Translation Prize for his translation from the German of Leo Strauss’s “The Village of As Though.” His translations from German and Spanish have been published in The Evansville Review, First Things, The String Poet, Leviathan Quarterly, Redactions, Able Muse, The Alabama Review, Light Quarterly, and elsewhere. His original poems are mostly for children and have been published in Highlights for Children, Cricket, Spider, Ladybug, The School Magazine, and many anthologies and magazines, and in his book, The Red Ear Blows Its Nose: Poems for Children and Others.
