Dear friends and members of the ALSCW,
Literary Matters 7.3 is now available for your reading pleasure. This issue abounds with pieces about ALSCW events and the achievements of our fellows. Inside, you will also find the inaugural “Two Takes on a Talk,” a feature that highlights what makes the literary arts special, the streaming forth of unique insights all inspired by the same source; an article investigating the transfer of power by way of ghostly spirit in Julius Caesar; and the essay that was awarded the 2014 Stephen J. Meringoff High School Writing Award.
I encourage you all to write with news of recent publications and awards or honors you’ve received, to send in reports on local meetings you attend, to offer up contributions such as book reviews, poems, or scholarly works. The content published in Literary Matters varies widely, and I look forward to reading whatever thoughtful and unique pieces you choose to send my way. Please note that the next deadline, March 15, 2015, is for submissions to Issue 8.1.
Thank you all for your time and for your support of the Association.
Warm regards,
Samantha Madway
Editor, Literary Matters
