Rosanna notes that her original title was “Crisis in the Humanities?” (the question mark is important), rather than the unapproved title “Panic: The Decline of the Humanities-and Civilization” given to the piece by the New Republic. Rosanna notes that she stands by the article, but not the title (which sends exactly the wrong message).
